Accommodation is included on all our multi-day tours. Each lodging is carefully selected by our experienced operations team to ensure you enjoy a comfortable room and a warm Highland welcome.
Bed & Breakfast (B&B) / Guest House
The majority of our tours offer 3-star bed & breakfast (B&B) or guest house accommodation. B&Bs are renowned for their warm and friendly atmosphere, providing visitors with an authentic experience of Scotland. These lodgings are typically situated within one mile of the town centre, though during peak seasons, this distance may extend slightly. Most establishments offer a traditional Scottish cooked breakfast, and all B&B accommodations are equipped with private bathrooms.
Hotel
For selected tours, we arrange hotel accommodation, such is the case for annual festival departures like Up Helly Aa. Highland hotels are smaller than typical hotels ensuring a cosy and hospitable welcome. Facilities are more limited when compared with most hotels situated in large cities, however, you can be assured of a comfortable stay within close proximity to the centre of town. They are usually family run and have their own individual style and character. They serve traditional Scottish breakfast and often offer a dinner option too.
Solo Travellers
We have limited availability of single room upgrades which can be selected at the time of booking. Please note that some tours do not offer the option for single room upgrades.
Accommodation Accessibility
At Highland Explorer Tours, we strive to make our experiences enjoyable for everyone. However, due to the rural nature of Scotland, there are certain accessibility limitations.
If you have any accessibility requirements, please contact us before booking. One of our experienced reservations staff will gladly assist you. You can read our full accessibility statement here.
